Michael Barenboim joins Michelangelo Quartet

Michelangelo Quartet

2 September 2020

Following the retirement from the quartet of their founder member Nobuko Imai, the Michelangelo Quartet is pleased to welcome Michael Barenboim as violist. Michael, who plays both violin and viola, is well known internationally as a soloist, concert master and chamber musician and has already worked with members of the quartet. Michael brings to this quartet not only technical prowess but also much experience and understanding. They very much look forward to working together in their new formation.

The quartet also pays tribute to the immense contribution Nobuko Imai has made to this ensemble and thanks her for her many years of outstanding musicianship.
