Huw Watkins is composer in residence with BBC National Orchestra of Wales, his new piece “The Moon” will receive its world premiere at the Proms on the 8th of August 2019. The piece is 20 minutes long and will feature alongside Takemitsu, Rachmaninov and Borodin.
